About Nazut

Our Mission

The purpose of nazut.com is to get through the news faster by reading summaries before reading the actual article. Don't just read the headline—get a sense for the article through the summary and then decide if you want to read it now or save it for later.

How It Works

We source from a variety of reputable outlets (feel free to suggest others!) and use AI to summarize the articles and rank them based on summary clarity and the recency of the article.

For the Curious

Here are the summary and ranking prompts that we use:

  • Summary Prompt: <Begin with a brief, engaging sentence that draws the reader in, then in up to three more sentences summarize the article's main points clearly and concisely. No bullet points or extra formatting: Article Text:>
  • Ranking Prompt: <Based on the article title and the provided summary, rate how accurately the summary reflects the article's main topic on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 = poor, 5 = excellent). If the summary reads like an advertisement, includes error text such as “access denied,” or otherwise fails to capture the article's content, treat it as a poor representation (score 1). Respond ONLY with 'Score: N' where N is the integer score.>

Roadmap

  • Introduce topic categorization and allow filtering based on topics
  • Introduce real-time trends across different sources
  • Allow users to submit their own summaries to be rated by other users
  • (Your suggestion here!)
