Ski champ Mikaela Shiffrin to join Denver NWSL ownership group

Mikaela Shiffrin, a two-time Olympic medalist and prominent Alpine skier from Colorado, has joined the ownership group of Denver's National Women's Soccer League expansion team. The team plans to launch in 2026 with a temporary stadium southeast of the city, aiming for a permanent venue opening by 2028.
