Spotify’s iPhone app will now let you easily buy audiobooks

Spotify has finally made buying audiobooks on its iPhone app more seamless by allowing users to purchase directly within the app and access additional listening hours for Premium members. This update comes after the company previously removed audiobook purchases from its iOS app in 2022 due to concerns over Apple’s App Store rules, which restricted Spotify from collecting fees on purchases made outside the store. The ruling that ended Apple’s control over cross-app purchases enabled Spotify and others like Kindle, Patreon, and Delta to expand their reach beyond the App Store while maintaining fair competition.
