A Lightless Galaxy: Scientists Discover a Starless, Spinning Ghost

Astronomers have discovered AC G185.0–11.5, a fast-moving hydrogen cloud resembling a dwarf galaxy without stars or molecular gas, estimated to be 278,000 light-years away with a mass between 30 million and nearly 500 million solar masses. This "dark galaxy" candidate could provide insights into the missing satellite problem and galaxy formation theories by offering evidence of galaxies hidden in plain sight.
