Spcine Links With Hubert Bals Fund, South Africa’s NFVF on Co-Development Initiatives

Spcine aims to strengthen Brazil’s global audiovisual presence by launching two new international co-development programs. The first, HBF+Brazil, supported by the Hubert Bals Fund, will provide €10,000 grants to early-stage Brazilian filmmakers for up to nine fiction projects in 2025. The second initiative kicks off at Cannes Film Festival with a pilot program inviting filmmakers from Brazil and South Africa to collaborate on two projects as part of a joint call led by Spcine and South Africa’s NFVF. Both initiatives highlight the companies’ commitment to fostering international collaboration and showcasing Brazil’s storytelling talent while expanding its reach globally.
