NFT phenom CryptoPunks was just sold to a nonprofit

The sale of Yuga Labs' CryptoPunks to the NODE Foundation highlights a shift in the digital art market. As part of its efforts to preserve and evolve digital art, NODE, which received a $25 million grant from investors Micky Malka and Becky Kleiner, acquired these iconic works for an undisclosed amount. Acquired back in 2022, CryptoPunks were purchased during the NFT boom but have since seen slower market growth. Despite this, Malka emphasized their cultural significance and NODE's commitment to making them accessible now while future-proofing them for the long term.
