Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page Sued by 'Dazed and Confused' Songwriter

Jimmy Page, lead vocalist for Led Zeppelin, has reportedly disapproved of being credited as a songwriter on one of the band’s classic tracks, drawing attention to a potential copyright dispute involving his older brother, James Patrick Page, over the 1969 hit “Dazed and Confused.” A lawyer for James Patrick Page, Jake Holmes, has filed a lawsuit against him, claiming he was the rightful copyright holder to the song, which Holmes says was erroneously attributed to James Patrick Page in a recent IMAX documentary. Holmes also alleges that re-releases of the Yardbirds’ version of “Dazed and Confused” have caused financial harm due to his unpaid contributions.
