Congo-Kinshasa: Kagame Weighs in On U.S., Qatar-Mediated Peace Efforts

President Paul Kagame acknowledged the critical role of international mediation efforts, particularly by Qatar and the United States, in achieving peace in eastern DR Congo. Speaking at the Africa CEO Forum, he emphasized the continent’s need to actively contribute to resolving its own challenges while highlighting the importance of external support for African solutions. He also discussed efforts to reform the African Union and stressed the responsibility of Africans to ensure their own future security.
