Google is bringing Gemini to Chrome so it can answer questions about your open tabs

Google’s Chrome browser is getting a smart AI-powered tool called Gemini, which will help users navigate open web tabs seamlessly without switching windows. This new feature can offer insights, like dietary advice or shopping tips, while browsing specific sites, aiming to boost productivity. Currently limited to single-tab interactions, Gemini plans to expand its multi-window capabilities in the future. Available today on Mac and Windows, it joins Google’s growing lineup of AI tools unveiled at I/O 2025, including Flow and Project Astra.
