"Light and Thread," Han Kang's debut novel following her Nobel Prize win, sold 10,000 copies in its first day online, capturing attention with its mix of personal anecdotes and deep insights into creativity. The book features Han's December Nobel lecture alongside her novels like *The Vegetarian* and *Human Acts*, as well as an excerpt from a banned essay titled *North-Facing Garden*. Major Korean bookstores accounted for 90% of the first-week sales, with a notable focus on female buyers. An English translation is in the works but release details remain to be announced.
