Uber introduces Route Share, a rush hour version of Pool

Uber is introducing new options designed to help riders save money by sharing rides in innovative ways. The first offering, Route Share, lets users pick up within 20 minutes during rush hours for potential savings of up to 50% off UberX, with up to two other passengers. This service, which resembles a bus ride combined with shared Uber shuttles, is available from 6AM-10AM and 4PM-8PM in cities like New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas, and Baltimore. Alongside Route Share, Uber is also rolling out price lock passes for low-risk savings and prepaid multi-trip passes to simplify saving up for regular rides. Both options will soon be available on teen accounts nationwide.
