Exec linked to Bangkok building collapse arrested

The massive collapse of a skyscraper in Bangkok, caused by an earthquake in Myanmar, has led Thai authorities to arrest a Chinese executive linked to its construction. The arrest is part of an effort to prevent future tragedies as similar collapses have claimed hundreds of lives in the region. Justice Minister Tawee Sodsong announced that four individuals, including three Thai nationals, were under investigation for breaching the Foreign Business Act, which caps foreign ownership at 49%. One Chinese company representative was arrested, while the three Thais hold a 51% stake in the joint venture with an Italian firm.
