Gail’s to drop soya milk surcharge after campaign by Peta

**Summary:** Bakery chain Gail’s will stop charging extra for soya milk from May 21 after pressure from animal rights charity Peta. They will continue to charge between 40p and 60p for oat milk. Peta welcomed the move but wants Gail's to also drop the surcharge for oat milk. Other chains like Pret a Manger and Starbucks have already stopped extra charges for plant-based milks. Costa Coffee and Caffè Nero charge extra for oat and coconut milk but not soya milk.
