Narita Airport reports 16% increase in passengers

Narita Airport saw a 16% increase in total passengers over fiscal 2024, reaching 40,774,055 for the first time surpassing 40 million since its five-year mark. Foreign passengers on international flights surged by 27%, hitting a record high of 22,734,375 in the year-to-date period. In March alone, non-Japanese international passengers reached 2,003,482 marking a new monthly peak. The airport anticipates 1,172,800 passengers during the Golden Week holiday from Friday through May 6—an increase of 23% compared to last year with departures peaking on Friday and arrivals expected to rise on May 6th.
