Snap is seemingly rethinking that 'simplified' app

Snapchat's redesign efforts are facing criticism after users rejected a simplified interface without the Snap Map and Stories features, opting instead for a three-tab design centered around chat, camera, and Spotlight. Despite feedback suggesting a preference for an updated five-tab layout, Snap is reconsidering its approach as tests may soon halt. However, it remains unclear if this new version will be rolled out to all users. Looking back, Snap has struggled with user retention in North America and faced issues on its Android app. Despite these challenges, the app continues to grow globally, with a slight decrease in daily active users during Q1 but an increase in overall users worldwide.
