Ed Sheeran Fights Off Writer’s Block With a Persian Wedding in ‘Azizam’ Video

Ed Sheeran released a new track titled "Azizam," which celebrates Persian culture, as reflected in its title meaning "my dear" or "my beloved." The music video, directed by Iranian-American filmmaker Saman Kesh, depicts Sheeran experiencing a lively Persian wedding. The song was produced by Ilya Salmanzadeh and inspired by his Persian heritage. "Azizam" will appear on Sheeran's upcoming eighth studio album, titled "Play," which he announced recently alongside a partial premiere of another track, "Old Phone." Sheeran indicated that the album marks a return to big pop music.
