Duolingo has expanded its offerings, adding 148 new language courses, doubling their current count, to cater to beginning learners across 28 supported languages including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, and more. The company is now enabling users of various languages to learn top languages like Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin for the first time or gaining access to multiple new languages. To support this growth, Duolingo has implemented an AI-first strategy, replacing human content creators with AI to accelerate course development and customization across languages.
