Garmin’s Gonna Hide More Features Behind the Connect+ Paywall

Garmin has launched a $7-per-month ($70-per-year) Connect+ subscription aimed at Premium Insights, offering AI-driven health insights. Despite customer backlash, CEO Cliff Pemble reported that the response has been positive on the Q1 2025 earnings call. Garmin retains all existing free features but will add new premium offerings through Connect+. This model allows them to invest in future AI capabilities without alienating long-time users who value the free service as a priority product.
