Adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro's first novel premieres at Cannes

Kazuo Ishiguro's author-director Kei Ishikawa felt compelled to bring his poignant novel "A Pale View of Hills" to the screen before those who experienced postwar Japan and 1980s England were gone, fearing their stories would fade.
