IAEA chief calls for presidential-level reengagement with North Korea

The head of the UN's nuclear watchdog has raised major concerns about North Korea's expanding atomic program, noting it has grown exponentially since 2009 and now includes advanced facilities like the Kangson uranium enrichment plant as well as possibly a second or third enrichment facility. The IAEA director-general emphasized the urgent need for high-level diplomacy to regain engagement with Pyongyang, which has significantly increased its nuclear capabilities beyond control, effectively going "off the charts."
