BBC announces 2025 Proms lineup – including first female-fronted Last Night

The BBC is set to launch an unprecedented eight-week Proms season featuring 86 concerts across London, Bradford, Belfast, Bristol, and Gateshead, with a record number of female conductors and innovative programming that includes an all-female lineup and a special Traitors Prom. Claudia Winkleman will lead a unique overnight prom at the Royal Albert Hall, blending symphonic pop with classical music. The season also highlights CBeebies' bedtime story proms for children, international orchestras, and anniversaries celebrating composers like Shostakovich and Ravel. Twenty-five proms will be televised, marking a record-breaking expansion of reach while preserving tradition.
