Labor MP ‘sick of seeing betting odds’ as he airs disappointment at Albanese government’s record on gambling ads

Jerome Laxale expresses deep disappointment with the Albanese government’s failure to address gambling ads, calling on the party to honor late Peta Murphy’s legacy if re-elected. The MP highlights the government's inaction despite opposition from sports bodies and broadcasters, emphasizing that while he is hopeful of stronger reforms in his second term, he emphasizes caution against rushing changes, particularly online gambling ads. Additionally, he acknowledges delays in implementing proposed reforms, including an apology for delayed advertising regulations after long anticipation, signaling a desire to work towards effective solutions without haste.
