Mike Peters, the lead singer of The Alarm, passed away from cancer this year after a prolonged battle that spanned over three decades. Though his death wasn't immediately clear, he had been fighting lymphoma and leukemia. Known for cofounding The Alarm band alongside his brother Greg, which released hits like "Sixty Eight Guns," Peters later launched a solo career and formed another band under the same name with Roman numerals replacing the pluses. His impact extended beyond music as he co-founded the Love Hope Strength Foundation to support cancer survivors using live performances to recruit bone marrow donors.
