Queensland fire crews work to rescue man in his 80s stuck up to his neck in silo of fertiliser

A man in his 80s trapped in a silo filled with urea near Eurombah, Roma, regional Queensland, was rescued by specialist fire crews Sunday afternoon. Firefighters secured the man using a harness as urea slowly leaked out from the silo’s bottom, while a rescue helicopter assisted alongside other emergency services. By 4 pm, the urea had been lowered to his waist level, completing the extraction process efficiently.
