Remains of 368 Japanese war dead laid to rest in National Cemetery

The remains of 368 Japanese citizens, including those from the Solomon Islands, Russia, and Ioto (a Pacific island widely known as Iwo Jima), were recently laid to rest in a national cemetery in Tokyo. This marks the latest batch of unidentified war dead being honored, joining over 371,008 people whose remains are now buried there, many of whom died in Siberia as Japanese prisoners of war after the war ended.
