Harrods is latest retailer to be hit by cyber-attack

Harrods has been hit by a cyber-attack just days after Marks & Spencer and the Co-op, as all three face significant disruptions. The luxury retailer experienced system shutdowns but managed to keep its online services running while authorities investigated the attack. M&S reported massive financial losses of over £650m from its stock market value due to supply chain issues and a halt in processing loyalty program points as it explored the attack linked to an unknown hacking group. Meanwhile, the Co-op faced internal system problems, had staff advised to keep cameras on during virtual meetings, while authorities looked into whether the attacks were coordinated or part of a broader strategy.
