Central Nippon Expressway won't collect tolls after ETC glitch

The Central Nippon Expressway avoided charging drivers for tolls missed due to an ETC system glitch on April 6th. Affected drivers have been reimbursed with prepaid cards, though approximately 960,000 vehicles were impacted by the nearly 40-hour disruption caused by the error.
