Aurora co-founder Sterling Anderson is leaving the self-driving truck startup

Sterling Anderson, a key figure in the autonomous vehicle industry who co-founded Aurora and served as its chief product officer, has resigned effective June 1. He hinted during an earnings call that his decision was driven by the exciting progress Aurora had made, including a solid product strategy and momentum in the market. Anderson, who previously worked on Tesla's Autopilot program and led Aurora alongside Chris Urmson and Drew Bagnell, will now take a senior role elsewhere. Despite facing challenges since listing in 2021, Aurora continues to focus on its self-driving truck service, successfully launching operations under tight deadlines.
