R.E.M. to Re-Release ‘Radio Free Europe’ to Help Support Radio Free Europe

R.E.M. is celebrating its 75th anniversary by re-releasing "Radio Free Europe" as part of a special EP to support Radio Free Europe, which faces threats from the U.S. government under the Trump administration. The album includes a new 2025 remix, unreleased tracks from 1981, and an original song "Sitting Still," alongside a surf-rock instrumental. Proceeds will benefit RFE/RL, a nonprofit promoting free media worldwide. The EP is available digitally now with vinyl versions pre-orderable for release on September 12.
