US offers $1,000 stipend to migrants who self-deport

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced a $1,000 stipend and travel assistance for undocumented immigrants voluntarily returning home as part of President Trump’s plan to reduce deportations. This initiative, available through the CBP Home app, offers financial support and deterring enforcement action, reflecting a strategy to lower the number of undocumented individuals in the country compared to Biden's approach which saw higher rates of deportation.
