‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Contestant Suspended By BBC After Using Offensive “Disability-Related” Language On Set

The BBC has suspended Jamie Borthwick, an EastEnders actor, following a recorded slur against people with disabilities during filming of Strictly Come Dancing in Blackpool last November. Apologizing sincerely, he acknowledged the offensive remarks and has taken leave from his work to address the incident. He also issued an apology for any offense caused.
