US senator says El Salvador denied request to meet Kilmar Ábrego García

Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen's request to visit Kilmar Ábrego García, a constituent wrongly deported to El Salvador, was denied by the Salvadoran government. Several Democratic lawmakers plan to visit El Salvador amid growing concerns over the constitutional crisis caused by Trump's refusal to comply with the Supreme Court’s order to facilitate Ábrego García’s return.
