**Mario Kart World**, launching June 5 as the Nintendo Switch 2's free game, introduces a "vast interconnected world" to explore between races. This open world includes missions activated by P-switches, hidden collectibles like medallions and food items for outfits, and new courses inspired by surrounding regions or reimagined from past titles. Grand Prix mode integrates driving between courses, while Knockout Tour whittles 24 racers down to 4 in extended rallies across the world. Traditional three-lap races and battle modes are also available.
