Working in Australian polling places has restored my faith in humanity

At 7am on my first polling day at the 2016 federal election in Fernleigh, I encountered a vibrant community where every vote reflects collective strength. Working in elections has deepened my appreciation for the power of community and humanity, meeting people from diverse backgrounds who remind me of the shared purpose driving democracy. Despite moments of doubt or frustration, the kindness and dedication of voters continue to inspire this journey of collective responsibility.
