Amazon-owned Zoox issues recall following robotaxi crash

Zoox paused its autonomous vehicle testing in Las Vegas following a crash involving an unoccupied vehicle and another car. The incident led to a voluntary recall of 270 vehicles due to concerns about their self-driving software potentially causing unintended braking, despite no injuries reported. Testing resumed after an update on April 17. Zoox remains focused on launching a commercial robotaxi service in Las Vegas later this year and continues testing its technology across various locations, including the Strip and San Francisco. The company has issued two recalls this year, following earlier investigations by NHTSA.
