Now Deel is accusing Rippling of spying by ‘impersonating’ a customer

In an intense legal battle over corporate espionage allegations, HR tech startup Deel has filed an amended complaint against its rival Rippling, alleging that one of Rippling’s employees impersonated a legitimate customer to steal sensitive information. The suit also claims Rippling's CEO, Parker Conrad, is motivated by anger toward his venture capitalist backer, Andreessen Horowitz, and that Rippling has used false claims in press and with regulators to damage Deel. Meanwhile, Deel, which reported over $1 billion in annual revenue, denies wrongdoing and maintains its commitment to ethical competition.
