Meta releases its CapCut rival Edits globally

Meta has launched Edits, a new video-creation app inspired by CapCut, designed to help creators track ideas, gather inspiration, and craft videos with features like green screens, auto captions, and AI tools for effects and background replacement. While the app is free at launch, Meta hinted that future versions could include paid features. By integrating Edits into its ecosystem, Meta aims to support creators across various platforms, expanding beyond just Instagram and Facebook, much like CapCut's potential absence in the U.S. after its removal from app stores due to TikTok's ban.
