xMEMS launches a tiny speaker for smartwatches

The Sycamore-W is xMEMS's thinnest speaker at 1 mm and 150 mg, designed for wrist-worn devices to enhance audio performance in compact wearables while integrating larger batteries or more sensors. Built on MEMS technology used in cellphones' microphones, it enables manufacturers to deliver premium audio in smaller, lighter, and more durable products like smartwatches. The company plans to begin producing the Sycamore-W in early 2026, with ongoing development for additional specialized models.
