Indian Defense Firm Says It Did Not Resell U.K. Technology to Russia

An Indian defense company questioned whether its export of advanced technology to India was linked to Russia’s suspected ties to a populist U.K. political group, after reports detailed the supply chain connections. The company denied selling sensitive equipment to Russia, which had previously flagged imports from H.R. Smith Group as critical for Russian military systems. Hindustan Aeronautics, India's top defense exporter to Rosoboronexport, confirmed in a statement that its British-supplied equipment wasn't destined for Russia despite the controversy surrounding its involvement with the Reform U.K. party.
