FilmNation Boards Tomas Alfredson’s Psychodrama ‘Séance on a Wet Afternoon’ Starring Rachel Weisz, Penned by ‘Adolescence’ Writer Jack Thorne (EXCLUSIVE)

Oscar winner Rachel Weisz stars in "Séance on a Wet Afternoon," a psychodrama directed by Tomas Alfredson, set to be acquired by FilmNation ahead of Cannes. The film follows Myra, played by Weisz, a medium who manipulates her husband into kidnapping their wealthy client’s son for her own psychic ambitions. The movie, based on Mark McShane’s novel and previously adapted as a 1964 Richard Attenborough film, will also feature strong supporting performances from Kim Stanley and Rachel Weisz herself.
