Possible remains of missing ASDF plane crew member found

Gen. Nakatani announced Friday that damaged body parts from a missing crew member of a Self-Defense Force trainer jet have been discovered near Lake Iruka in central Japan following its disappearance over Inuyama. Since the aircraft disappeared last week, more than 600 SDF members have been conducting an around-the-clock search for Capt. Takuji Ioka and Lt. Shota Amitani. Preliminary findings from the search include parts of the jet's engines, wheels, seats, and oxygen cylinders.
