Norway, Sweden and Denmark back Ukraine 30-day ceasefire plan

Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre highlighted the collective stance of northern European countries supporting an unconditional 30-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. The group, part of the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), emphasizes accountability for the ceasefire to avoid sanctions. During discussions with leaders, both U.S. President Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky were involved in pushing for the proposal, which stems from the 2022 invasion by Russia. Støre stressed that respecting these direct negotiations is crucial for halting the conflict effectively.
