Tadej Pogacar secured his third victory at the Liège-Bastogne-Liège classic, overtaking his rivals by over a minute before crossing the finish line and celebrating with fans. The Slovenian cyclist now holds nine "monument" victories in the season, including this one alongside iconic races like Paris-Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders. Pogacar extended his lead during a fierce sprint to the line, narrowly edging out Italian Giulio Ciccone and Irishman Ben Healy as he celebrated with supporters on the roadside. Meanwhile, Remco Evenepoel's disappointing drop by Pogacar on the Côte de La Redoute climb added to his unlucky finish in third place earlier this week.
