OpenAI's Deep Research tool is coming to free accounts

OpenAI has expanded its AI-powered research tools by adding a free Deep Research feature for ChatGPT users, along with a lighter version called o4-mini Deep Research that offers cost-efficiency without compromising quality. Existing Plus, Pro, Team, Edu, and Enterprise subscribers now enjoy increased query limits, while new users can access up to five monthly inquiries through the lightweight tool. The enhanced Deep Research capabilities allow for comprehensive data analysis across multiple sources, producing detailed reports with citations.
