HP agrees to $4M settlement over claims of “falsely advertising” PCs, keyboards

HP Inc. has agreed to pay $4 million to settle false advertising claims regarding computer and peripheral prices on their website. The settlement, granted preliminary approval by a judge, resolves a class-action complaint filed in October 2021. Eligible customers who bought products between June 5, 2021, and October 28, 2024, can receive compensation ranging from $10 to $100 per product. The complaint accused HP of misleading advertising practices, including inflating original prices to make discounts seem more significant.
