Uber’s Glorified Bus Service Launches Rides in Atlanta

Uber is exploring efficiency and sustainability by introducing a multi-ride shuttle service at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport starting May 2023, offering shared rides that could reduce costs and environmental impact compared to traditional Uber services. The shuttles will provide frequent routes from downtown and midtown areas, with fares ranging from $10 to $18.50 one-way. However, drivers have expressed concerns about working conditions and wage cuts, while the service remains a cost-effective alternative for some in comparison to public transit, especially during off-peak hours.
