Android’s next big feature turns your phone into a desktop

Android fans are thrilled about a new multitasking feature that lets their smartphones act like desktop computers. The Beta Build introduces Google's Android Desktop Mode, featuring a PC-like interface with a status bar for Wi-Fi and taskbar for easy app access, resembling a Windows Start Menu. Enhanced in March, users can now drag boxes to adjust the smartphone and monitor layout for smoother cursor navigation between screens. Earlier versions by Rahman laid the groundwork for resizable apps, which have since been expanded with more features like these UI elements.
