RedBird Capital confident of tabling a deal to take control of Telegraph

"The US private equity firm RedBird Capital has confident plans to finalize a deal to acquire control of The Daily and Sunday Telegraph by next month, as the 170-year-old titles continue to grapple with two years of paralysis and unhappiness. With RedBird's founder Gerry Cardinale personally involved in drafting the takeover plan, the firm is exploring options including forming a consortium or self-funding the deal after previously being blocked by UK government regulations on foreign ownership."
