Conclave director signs Brad Pitt for long-awaited adaptation of The Riders

Edward Berger, known for his paparazzi thriller *Conclave*, is directing Brad Pitt in a big-screen adaptation of Tim Winton’s *The Riders*, set to be produced by Ridley Scott and financed by A24. The novel, inspired by real-life events in 1987, follows an Australian man and his daughter retracing their travels after the mother’s disappearance. Pitt will next star in a racing film directed by Joseph Kosinski.
