Danish businesses want international workers 'no matter where they’re from'

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has called for a more restrictive approach but stressed the need to distinguish between regions when making policy decisions. Høfler from Dansk Industri emphasized that international workers contribute significantly to employment and GDP, with a particular focus on those from North Africa and the Middle East. He explained that work permits require existing job offers, reflecting a shift in worker origins from past roles to study and professional careers in Denmark.
